Black and white image of a vintage taxi driving along the road
A black and white image of a taxi driver, Jim McKenzie, driving on a road. This image was shot while filming Taxi 1972: A day in the life of an owner-driver of a taxi in Perth. Jim McKenzie is a taxi driver from Perth in Western Australia. He owns his own cab and has been in business about four years. Jim likes his work, but it is an odd sort of job: the hours are long but you meet all sorts of people. But a man is his own boss: for blokes like him, that's important

A group of men with furled flags and horse march on a dirt road
A black and white image of a group of men carrying furled flags and dressed in period costume, marching along a dirt road in the country, during the 1987 Coo-ee Reenactment March. The group is marching over a slight rise toward the camera and is led by a man dressed in full World War 1 army uniform, leading a horse. The men are reenacting the original Coo-ee march where approximately 20 patriots left Gilgandra on October 10, 1915 and marched to Sydney to enlist in the war, gathering more than 250 recruits from other farming communities along the way. This image was shot while filming Coo-ee 1988

A cameleer leads a camel train along a dirt road in the outback
Cameleer Kurt Posel leads a camel train along a dirt road in the outback. The group is in profile heading towards and just to the side of the camera. In the background is a sparsely shrubbed rocky outcrop and a big, blue sky with clouds in the distance.
This colour image was shot in open country near Simpsons Gap (Rungutjirpa) in the West MacDonnell Ranges, Northern Territory, while filming Australian Wildlife Series: Camel 1975: Although not a biological study of this notable contributor to Australia's history, this film corrects some of the popular misconceptions about the camel and its habitat. In addition to showing camels in their rough and risky Australian environment, the film includes the people who work with camels in the Australian outback
