An aerial colour image of a group (bask) of seven Australian freshwater crocodiles crowd together on a stony riverbank or lake shore. One crocodile can be fully seen in the water. This image was shot while filming Australian Wildlife Series: Crocodile 1974: A comprehensive treatment of saltwater and freshwater crocodiles. A "non specialist" film, it is nevertheless scientifically accurate, and takes a balanced view of this little understood and seldom loved reptile. In 2016 the freshwater crocodile's conservation status is Least Concern
