Australian Goanna or Monitor Lizard. Expo 70 Series
A black and white image of a goanna against a rock formation. The name 'Goanna' was given to Australian monitor lizards by the early European settlers. They thought our monitor lizards looked like the South American Iguanas. This image is taken from the Expo 70 Series, 1970.
