Three young people stand talking outside a shops display window
A black and white image of three young people - two women and a man - standing outside a shop's display window. The two women are talking to each other. Both have long straight hair and are dressed in the miniskirts of the 1960s era. The man has long sideburns and is dressed in a dark coloured suit and tie. He is looking away from the women. One woman carries a houndstooth patterned bag and a bunch of white flowers. This image was shot while filming Three to Go: Michael 1969: Until now, Michael's life has followed a relatively straight and narrow path. A chance encounter with an actor involved in a film about guerrilla warfare leads him to question his safe job and conservative lifestyle. In this experimental drama, Michael is taken on an excursion into the world of the young radical, but is it where he belongs? Acclaimed director Peter Weir interweaves Michael's story with footage showing dramatised armed resistance in a Sydney under siege and segments from Youth Quake, a panel discussion about the youth revolution

Black and white image of two boys at their desks in a classroom
A black and white image of two young primary age schoolboys, one of whom is actor Tom Burstall (Wayne), sitting at their desks in a classroom. The boys are in semi-profile, intently watching something off-camera. Behind them is a wall covered by a noticeboard. This image was shot while filming Nullarbor Hideout 1964: Bored during the summer holidays and escaping the heat, a group of kids (and their joey!) from Cook, on the Nullarbor Plain, discover a limestone cave with a huge underground lake. Meanwhile in town, a detective is called in from Port Augusta to investigate a stolen car and some sinister kangaroo shooters. When the kids discover their tucker and canoe have disappeared, they decide to do some investigating of their own. An Australian black and white short film written and directed by Tim Burstall (Alvin Purple)
